
Slow Cooker Chili Lime Chicken
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 6 hours on low setting
Serves: 6-7

Ingredients
6-7 organic chicken breast, cleaned and trimmed
1 Tablespoon Cumin
1 Tablespoon- Chili Powder
2-3 teaspoon Frontier’s Mexican Fiesta Seasoning
Zest of 1 lime and juice from one lime
1 cup of roasted verde salsa *
1/4 cup chicken broth (or until chicken is covered)
Salt
Optional: 1 yellow onion, sliced
Instructions
- Clean and trim the chicken
- Add chicken to the slow cooker
- add all the seasoning and about a teaspoon of salt to the chicken. Then add the lime zest and juice
- Add the Roasted Salsa on top
- Add the chicken broth
- Make sure that the broth got under the chicken
- If you using onions, add onions on top
- Let cook on low for 6 hours, shred chicken with either two forks and let continue to cook on warm setting.
- Serve with whatever topping you prefer on your taco**
Notes
This is a great chicken to serve as a taco, have all the toppings lined up like cheese, guacamole, sour cream, tortillas and beans.
