Christmas Tree Board
This board is perfect for the holiday season. The board itself is from Crate and Barrel.
Items you will need:
Cheese board (17-19 inches)
Christmas Tree Cookie Cutter
Holiday Grapes
Roasted & Salted Cashews
Honey Comb (I love Savanah Bee Company)
Beemster Aged Gouda
Cypress Grove Humbolt Fog
Brie, Large Wheel
Truffle cheese
Melkbus Gouda
Pecans
Corn Nuts
English Cucumber, peeled and sliced
Raspberries
Blackberries
Pomegranate seeds
Dried Mangos
Crackers (I used Lesley Stowe)
German Hard Salami
Olives
Small Peppers, stuffed by hand with goat cheese and crushed pistachios
Instructions:
To start building your board, begin by placing the large items.
Place your cheeses first, then add your meats and fill in from there. Always start with the large items and fill in.
To make your Christmas tree decoration, simply place the cookie cutter in the middle of the cheese wheel and use a small cheese knife to gently pull off the top rind layer, exposing the soft cheese underneath. Then fill in with the pom seeds. The cookie cutter should allow for the rind and cheese to come right out.
Make sure you have a good cheese knife for cutting your cheese. Boska makes a great one.
Put on some Christmas music and give yourself some time to create this board. As always, make sure to take it out 1 hour prior to guests arrival for the cheese to soften.
