Bacon Wrapped Dates
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 18-20 dates
1 box of Neufchatel Cheese (or cream cheese)
18-24 pitted dates
1 cup of salted and roasted slivered almonds
1 packet of bacon (not super thick cut)
Preheat oven to 425. Roast the almonds in olive oil and salt for about 4 minutes and then slip them for about 2 more minutes. The roast quickly.
Stuff one 1/4 inch piece of cheese into the date (pitted)
Add a few pieces of the roasted almond slices
Wrap half a piece of bacon around the date. Continue with the rest until bacon and dates are gone.
Set oven temperature to 400. Bake for 5 minutes, turn dates, bake for about 6-7 minutes more or until bacon is crisp.
Let sit for 5 minutes then serve immediately.
A great appetizer for any occasion.
